Dwell in possibility. Find ecstasy in life; the mere sense of living is joy enough.

- Emily Dickinson

Hi, I’m Colleen. I’m so glad you’re here. I received my Masters of Art in Counseling Psychology in 2010 at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. After living and working for over 12 years in Seattle, my family and I packed up and moved back to my childhood town in Ohio. I’m so happy to be home.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Ohio, I  have 9 years of experience working in various counseling settings. I’ve worked in domestic violence organizations, a homeless shelter, college settings, with families affected by cancer, in a private practice setting and in immigration cases writing psychological evaluations for persons seeking asylum. Each setting has shaped the way I work and each have enriched my view of the world and what it means to seek out healing.

Maybe you are a time in your life in which you are questioning all that you held to be true. Maybe you are feeling lonely, or are wanting more access to that small voice inside you that knows the way to go, but often gets ignored. Whatever brings you here, it takes courage to take the first step and begin. I believe that much of our sorrow and struggles are rooted in relational harm in our past, and that similarly, there is healing to be found in not remaining alone in your experience and process of past and present pain. I would be honored to participate with you on this journey.

I work creatively and collaboratively with each client. I use art and play in therapy when appropriate, finding these to be useful in the therapeutic setting, particularly when working with children and adolescents. I also enjoy working with young adults and adults grappling with issues of grief and loss, anxiety, transitions, thresholds in life and relational struggles.

Whatever brings you here, I would be honored to walk with you as you seek to better understand yourself, your relationships and your past, as you seek to truly live from the inside, out.
